No real photos here at Coinjock and no real town that we saw.  This marina is just a big long dock along the ICW but it is very popular mostly because of its location.  We trav…

Carolina Beach to Swansboro NC

We forgot to give Joey back his Food Lion card so we pulled up to their dock as we cruised along the canal & I got off onto their dock.  I hesitated because I saw a snake on their dock & it had it’s tongue out so I was afraid it was going …

Shallow Waters and Strong River Currents, Plus Missed Anchorages

At our appointed time, we left the docks and headed south into the state of Florida. It was really good to be back and the weather was improving, albeit still windy from the south. We had considered running outside from Fernandina to St. Augustine, but…

Back in Nassau again

It’s been a couple of years and the place hasn’t changed a bit. As we pull into Nassau Harbor Club, there’s Peter the Greek standing on the dock. With his long bushy hair flying in the breeze, he starts barking his usual orders, telling us how we are suppose to dock, even though we have docked here many times before. He is a bit of a wildman. The Crazy Greek. Behind his back is Frenchy the boatwasher who is laughing at Peter’s rants and offering to help us tie up before he washes our boat. Some things never change.
