Happy New Year 2019

“The new year stands before us, like a chapter in a book, waiting to be written. We can help write that story by setting goals.” —Melody Beattie

Happy New Year…I hope 2019 brings happiness, health and adventure to all of you. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to reflect on where we’ve been, the things that are important to us and what we’d like to achieve in the future. With each passing year the months seem to pass faster than the year before and it’s hard to imagine how so many years and wonderful events have past so quickly. We look forward to the new adventures and events of the coming year. I hope it brings nothing but good things to all our friends and family.

Amsterdam Fireworks

The Dutch LOVE their fireworks. The city literally erupted for several hours before and after midnight on New Year’s Eve. The main show didn’t exceed others we’ve seen, but the breadth of the displays was absolutely unrivaled. The entire sky was ablaze as seemingly every resident was setting off fireworks. Looking Back at 2018

“Sometimes it is the people no one can imagine anything of who do the things no one can imagine.” –Alan Turing

In January we decided to get away from our cold wet winter in Texas. We headed to Costa Rica for ten days of relaxation and adventure.

METS 2018

METS (Marine Equipment Trade Show), held annually in Amsterdam, is the largest trade exhibition of marine equipment, materials and systems in the world. This was our first time attending and we were amazed at the scale, with over 1,500 exhibitors from across the globe. Over two busy days we didn’t come close to seeing it…
