Mazatlan, the Town
We spent the last 2 days exploring Mazatlan. Yesterday was spent on the waterfront and the Mercado looking at stuff and a little shopping since we found a place that I could sit on a couch and they had free beer. I strongly encourage Julie to shop in these places. The waterfront is covered with many statues that reflect Mazatlan’s history.

The hiatus on the blog is because we are finally out cruising for real! The four cyclones that kept us close to port have all gone their separate ways. The monster category 5 Yasi is punishing Australia as I write but at least it is far away from here! LE PHARE AMÉDÉE So with a […]
The Jumentos Part 2 – Dealing with the Inverter/Charger
With the forecast of stronger northwesterly winds, we decided to seek protection in Southwest Bay at the south end of Ragged Island; a full day’s run from Flamingo Cay. The Jumentos Cays offer very limited protection from south to north winds – if …
Meet the Manatees – Day 124 – Marathon, FL
At around 11:00 AM, our friends, Sue and Darryl from Present Moment, phoned to let us know there were two manatees, a mother and calf at their marina. This was exciting news. We have been in Florida since December 1st and had not seen a sin…
