The 55-foot Baltimore Beacon, known locally as “Lot’s Wife”, marks the entrance to Baltimore Harbour atop a 300-ft cliff. James knew from the moment we arrived that Jennifer, who suffers from the extreme inability to resist a good view, would find a way to reach the Beacon. So he wasn’t at all surprised when she…

Salt Point Nature Preserve
Allan H. Treman State Marine Park
We stumbled across this little preserve by chance this week while we were looking for a good place to fly fish. It’s a beautiful spot to spend a little time relaxing…taking in the sights and sounds of nature.
Salt Point was named because the International Salt Company produced table and other salt products on this site from 1891 through 1962. The company was the heart and soul of the small community. Look how wide the beach is at early morning low tide! Excellent for walkers and runners.
This little girl’s mom, dressed in a long, flowing, clingy dress, is very pregnant They were on the beach for a silhouette photo of this little angel with her forehead against her mom’s belly profiled against the sunrise. They woke her at 5:30 and she wasn’t happy but eventually they got a picture close to their expectations.
This was a serendipity one morning. I found mama turtle tracks from her trip ashore to lay her eggs.
Sunrise over the Atlantic and Mama Turtle Tracks.
