FPB 97 Sea Trials – Veem Props Are For Real

In an earlier post we mentioned having learned the hard way to take propeller manufacturers’ performance claims with a healthy dose of skepticism. Now that we have had an early taste of the Veem interceptor propellers, we can tell you they work as advertised on FPB 97-1. The Veem props have a dovetail slot machined […]

Toronto Restaurant Review

We are often asked for recommendations of restaurants which is not an easy task since we have between 7000 and 8000 restaurants in Toronto. After a bit more probing we are able to narrow it down to specific cuisines which … Continue reading

Welcome to day 328 of  365 photos…this dark-eyed junco landed in the tree today long enough for me to grab a photo and away he went. Tivoli seems to enjoy a good night’s cruise.

Day 327…Evening Glow

Welcome to day 327 of  365 photos…this evening glow photo was taken from the bridge last Friday evening while waiting for the flotilla boats to show up in Swansboro. I, for once, actually had my camera on the tripod.  Tripod turned out not to help the boat photos and I deleted them all. This photo saved […]

Homer ( 1957-2014)

We have some sad news today. Homer, our Blue Front Amazon Parrot passed away. Homer lived a good long 57 years. He traveled everywhere with us and was a good boat companion. He was truly a unique spirit. Our home will be empty without him. Nate, our Yellow Naped Amazon Parrot, will miss him more […]
